Negotiations update!

Greetings Snowline teachers!

We are happy to announce that your bargaining team has come to a tentative agreement with Snowline Administration on our contract articles and salary for 2017 - 2018. Here are some of the highlights of our tentative agreements:

• We are proud to welcome Snowline Designated Subject Career Technical Education teachers to the Snowline Teachers’ Association. They will be getting all the benefits of membership, and we have negotiated an increase in pay for these teachers who do such valuable work for our students.
• Hours and Additional Duties (Article 15): We have agreed to raise the rate of pay for Saturday school ADA recovery from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour. We hope this will encourage teachers to sign up and offer more attendance recovery options for our students. 
• Teachers who teach an extra period assignment during the year will be paid their hourly rate as long as they are considered the “teacher of record” for the class.
• Class Size (Article 18): There will be significant changes for special education teachers, including reducing their class sizes and caseloads. 
• Teachers with “combo” classes will get a $1500 bonus for the year.
• Finally, your bargaining team has negotiated a 3% salary raise and a one-time 3% cash bonus for this year! This will be retroactive to July 1st, 2017.
