New Contract Vote!

Greetings Snowline Teachers!

After a long process of bargaining, we are happy to report we have settled with the district on our articles and compensation package for the 18-19 school year. Here are some of the highlights of changes to the contract:

• CTE Teachers. We are proud to welcome our Snowline CTE teachers as part of our bargaining unit. These teachers will now be eligible for the benefits and protections of our STA contract.
• Association Rights. New language in this article ensures that STA has the right to meet with newly hired teachers to inform them of the benefits of being an STA member.
• Preparation Time. Starting next year, elementary school teachers will be getting two early out days each month and at least one scheduled PE day each week for planning and preparation. 
• Compensation. Snowline teachers will be getting a 2.5% salary increase (retroactive to July 1, 2018) and a 2% one-time bonus this year. 
• Longevity. Teachers will get a $1500 bonus after 25 years, and an additional $2000 bonus after 30 years of teaching. 
• Work year. The work calendar will be reduced by two days, starting with the 2019-2020 calendar.
